Falcons claim district title!

When Mika Palomalu stretched into the endzone giving the Falcons a six point lead in overtime, he did more than lift the spirits of the throng of Pottsgrove supporters that made the trek to Coatesville, he made history. After an emotional week Palomalu and his fellow Falcons had vowed to dedicate their effort to the memory of their fallen friends, honor them they did; as Pottsgrove's 28-21 win over previously unbeaten Interboro claimed the first District championship in school history. "It was a very difficult week," said Palomalu who donned the number four for the contest in memorance of his long time child hood friend Andrew Case who always wore that numeral. "Ever since we were kids he was known as "AC-4". I hope he is smiling right now, we knew that it would be difficult to focus, but once the game started, emotion took over and we as a team wanted to honor he and Michael by winning this game." The Falcons , in there first ever PIAA playoff game battled until the last second before eventually falling to District 12  champion Archbishop Wood 30-28.

Pottsgrove took a 28-24 lead with 3:13 remaining in the contest before the Vikings mounted a two minute drill that John Elway would have been proud of, scoring with :58 left to play. In the words of coach Pennypacker during the thrid quarter. "What a football game!"
